Install Guide - Plugin Trials

For ease of access, we provide direct links to our standalone plugin trials. Here is what you need to know!

Step 1: Download Your Installer

Start by clicking the link provided in your order email.

You can also find the link to your trial in your account, by going to the order you placed and opening the list of downloads.

This should download an installer. Follow the instructions provided to set up your trial!

Step 2: Installing the Trial to your DAW

In order to see your new plug-in show up in your DAW, you'll need to be aware of the plug-in folder that your DAW checks in order to load your plugin correctly. There are a few common defaults that most DAWs use:

Windows:

  • C:\Program Files\Common Files (this location should have both a VST2 and VST3 option)
  • C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins
  • C:\Program Files\VstPlugins

Mac:

  • Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST
  • (Rarely used) Users/your username/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST
  • Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST3
  • (Rarely used) Users/your username/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST3

NOTE: For ProTools users, the only compatible plug-in format is .AAX, in a separate folder location. If you are unfamiliar with ProTools folder locations, please check out Avid's guide here.

Step 3: Opening the Plug-in

Once the above steps are complete, you should now see the product you downloaded in your DAW. If you attempt to open it, you should see the following window:

This is not an error - you just need to click "Use Demo Mode" and you'll be able to get started with your free trial.

And that's it! You have access to the full plugin, but will need to work around intermittent white noise being sent through the output. Upgrading to the full version removes this white noise!
