Downloading and Installing Pulse

  • When you first check out for your order, check whether the "Create a Pulse Downloader" checkbox is selected. If it is, you will need to check your order email for your Pulse credentials

  1. Start by downloading the Pulse Downloader here
    1. NOTE: There are two options for Mac users. For M1, select the M1 Systems option (it will have an arm-64x in the installer name). All else, choose OSX or Higher.

  2. Open Pulse and Log in.
    1. For those who selected "Create a Pulse Downloader account for me," check your order email for credentials. If you did not select this option you need to create an account manually.
  3. Once you are logged in, Pulse is ready to start downloading products!

Adding an ISW Product to Pulse

  • NOTE: If you purchased through a third party, make sure you have an activation code - some distributors provide a redemption code intended for use on our website, which will not work in Pulse.
  1. To get started, navigate to the Library tab of Pulse. This is the tab where you can both add new products as well as find information on your currently owned products.
  2. Select "Add a Product" in the top right corner.
  3. Pulse will ask for a code. Use the code provided in your order email - it will appear below the order total!
    1. NOTE: If you are unable to find the order email, you will also be able to find the product code in the Products tab of your account.
  4.  Lastly, select a download location
    1. Make sure you install to a folder that you can find later, as you will need to know the location to use both Kontakt Player and Kontakt Full libraries.
  5. Once the download is complete, you will have your product.

Keep in mind that depending on whether you purchased a Kontakt Player or Kontakt Full library, you may still need to do a few more steps. Please check out the guides below for each product type.

Kontakt Player Installation

The following steps are for Kontakt Player Libraries only, which we indicate on the product page. If your serial does not fit the textbox shown below, it is a Kontakt Full library.

Download Kontakt Player if you do not own it already. You can download Kontakt Player here:

To finish activation, open Native Access and do the following steps:

  • Click Add a Serial, then copy/paste the code you used previously. You should get a message confirming the serial was successfully registered.

  • Your product will now appear in the Available tab. Go to Available, and find your product - it should have a Locate button next to it.
    • Note: If you see the "Install" Message instead, press the three dots to Locate the library.

  • Point Native Access to the folder your product is located in. Make sure you are selecting the folder that matches the product name.

You should now see the library in your Kontakt libraries tab!

Kontakt Full Installation

As a reminder - these libraries do NOT work if you are using Kontakt Player. Any of our products marked with the following symbol require the paid version of Kontakt:

If you are still unsure, check out this article for a comprehensive list of Player vs. Full products.

For Kontakt full version libraries, these are not activated in Native Access, and do not load from the Libraries tab. Load up one of the instrument NKIs in Kontakt via the Files browser. You can also click on the .nki file itself from your computer's file browser (File Explorer on Windows, Finder on Mac), and Kontakt will open it automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Do I need to make a new account / re-register each time I switch computers?
    • A: No. In fact, once you create a login, that is the login you should use for any system you install your products onto. Pulse will keep track of all your registered products for you so that you can immediately download.
    • WARNING: Product codes can only be redeemed in Pulse once, so if you lose your login credentials, creating a new account will not fix the problem. If you cannot find your login credentials, you can contact ISW support - if you provide an order #, we should be able to find your account.
  • Q: I installed the library but now I don't know where it is! What do I do?
    • A: Go to the Library tab and click on the product icon to view more info. Pulse keeps track of what version you're on, the location your folder is downloaded to, and even lets you open this location.
  • Q: I'm getting a download error / files are missing / the product doesn't work correctly.
    • A: When we fix issues with downloads or bugs, we push them through via Pulse. You can access these updates via the product info screen shown below: here's one such example where we fixed an issue with the new Momentum re-release.
    • If you still run into issues after updating the product, contact us and we can look into it further. You can contact our support team here:
